Folk Extreme celebrates Tampere Day on Friday 27.9. with Anne-Mari Kivimäki Ensemble's concert. The concert will play both at 3:00 PM and at 6:00 PM.
Anne-Mari Kivimäki Ensemble performs music from the dance lands of Karelia. Ensemble takes listeners under the spell of eerie music and hypnotic accordion trance on a journey back a hundred years and back to today. Roaring archive recordings, accordion, kantele and vocals together create a unique soundscape. Kivimäki's music includes the roar of the Karelian carrion and the howl of the north wind, which blows emotion into ancient tunes and new compositions
