Tampere Tunnetuksi ry has been enlivening the center of Tampere for almost 60 years. In honor of Tampere's birthday, we would like to offer in our beloved city center. Welcome!
Do you know what Tampere's main street used to be, how money was transported in Tirkkonen's shop, where Laukontori got its name and how many bricks were used to make the Market Hall?
Dear Tampere: Shop throughout the ages - guided tours tell about the history of trade and merchants in Tampere and a little about the present for a total of eight weeks. The guided tour is completely free for the participant. Guidance for participants is provided by Tampere Tunnetuksi ry.
The guided tour of Tampere tourist guides lasts 90 minutes. The tour departs from Laukontor and during the guided tour you will visit both the Tampere Market Hall and the Market Square. The tour ends at Tampere Keskustor. On the tour, we walk at a leisurely pace for a distance of about a kilometer and climb a few steps.
