Janne Ahola's light artwork Loopscape 1 examines the cyclical nature of place and the interaction between culture and technology. The work will be projected onto the Kuusvooninkinen wall in Väinö Linna Square.
Loopscape 1 intertwines old recycling and new expression: the hum of machines and the steady rhythm of looms build an ever-living textile landscape that merges with digital imagery and connects the tradition of craftsmanship with the visual expression of modern technology.
Ahola's work combines hand- and digitally painted textures and 3D animation, where perspective illusions and a constantly changing image surface create a meditative and multi-layered viewing experience.
